Alcohol & Drug Counselling

The Caraniche Community Alcohol and Other Drug Services is a free service funded by the Department of Health to meet the growing need for specialised alcohol and other drug treatment services in Melbourne's outer northern metropolitan areas. This service is based at Epping and is staffed by a multidisciplinary team.

Who is this Service for?

Anyone who lives in, works in, or has an association with Epping and surrounding areas, and fits in to one or more of the following categories:

·         Adults with alcohol and other drug issues

·         People concerned about a family member

·         Children of a substance using parent / guardian

·         Parents concerned about their children's alcohol or drug use

·         Employers concerned about an employee's alcohol or drug use

 Adults with alcohol and other drug issues

·         Individual counselling

·         Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

·         Psychological support

·         Group Therapy

·         Family Therapy

·         Case coordination


Our Staff

A team of qualified and experienced staff are employed at Epping. These include psychologists, social workers, AOD counsellors and family therapists. We also have a case coordinator at each location to provide support for health and welfare issues like housing, employment, detoxification, etc. The team can help clients determine what other services might be needed and will link the client in with them.
